Procedures
Open the hood and remove the black plastic top cover. The grille shell may be removed from vehicle for easier installation of billet but is not required. Center the billet over the factory grille. Mark the mesh on the factory grille; where the moAunting tabs align to the grille mesh. With a die grinder, cut center portion of the center grille mesh, leaving mesh on both ends to mount the billet (as shown in the diagram below). At this time the uncut area of factory grille mesh may be painted black.
Set the billet over the factory grille opening. The mounting tabs will sit over the uncut mesh sides. Insert the long machine screws (from the front) through the tabs welded to the insert. From the back place a flange bracket, washer and hand thread a Nylock nut.
Use the Phillips screwdriver and 5/16” wrench to tighten the hardware. Do not over-tighten; Tighten the insert so it fits snug and even across the shell. Re-install the grille shell assembly back onto the vehicle if needed.
