I'm pleased to announce the addition of regional forums.

These forums are for discussing things such as:
- Regional / state meets
- Local issues - weather, dealer experiences, etc.
- anything else happening where you live

Hopefully this will help you find other people in your area and you can meet and talk about your cars.

p.s. I know some of the states listings may not be 100% correct. Let me know if there are any corrections.

I'd put MT and WY in the northwest, and CO and UT in the west, but that's just me :)

OR you could add a Mountain region and put those 4 states plus AZ in it.

In any case, they definitely can't be described as "Midwest".

Good idea, Webmaster, but as someone from the far left coast of Canada, I have as much or more in common with fellow forum members from Washington and Oregon than I do with my old homeland (Saskatchewan).

But come to think of it, I guess there's nothing to stop me from visiting and posting in both regions.

...and I see John Cline, super poster, is participating in just about every region. LOL.

Go for it John, I know you visit them all in person quite regularly anyway. Do you have 100,000 miles on the car yet?

If memory serves me right, which most days it does not, I believe he's about half way there.

My car hasn't been too far... one county south, one county east....that's it. I haven't driven it for four days or so, actually.

I haven't been far myself yet. As far west as I've made it with her is Fort Worth. As far north is Yukon Oklahoma. As far east as Pineville Louisiana. As far south as Mansfield Texas. But I have plenty of time.

We all hope we have plenty of time. Having watched some of my friends put off until retirement the travel they wanted to do, then they either became physically or financially unable to do it (or worse, in several instances, died unexpectedly), I am a firm believer in doing today that which I want or feel I must do.

I know, Angel, what you meant...but you gave me a perfect opportunity to say something I so much wanted to say at some point. Last month, I went to New York City to attend the funeral service of a friend. 46. Never sick a day in his life, that I know of. And suddenly, without warning, on a walk around the neighborhood, he collapsed. And that was it.

I don't mean to be depressing, only to emphasize that there is no time like the present to do what one wants or needs to do. As the future is not guaranteed...

None of us knows how much time we have. Or don't.

I can speak to that personally much better than most, but the details of that are for another time and place. Suffice it to say that each day I am given I consider a precious gift. And I encourage others to do likewise whenever I can...

Funny, I tried twice to post in the Yukon region but it didn't accept it. I was trying to contact Sgt. Preston to see if he's driving a 500 these days rather than a dog team.

I just tried it. Worked for me. Not sure why it wouldn't have worked for you Ernie.

Right On, John.

I'm not Webmaster obviously. I did look to see if it had been moved to the moderator holding area. Wasn't there.
